Jsky hosts charity evening in aid of MTV Staying Alive

Manchester singer and fashionista, Jsky, hosted another one of his annual charity events full of live music, celebrities, guest speakers and raffles for the charity MTV Staying Alive.

The event was situated in one of Manchester’s unique venues, The Impossible theatre, known to many for its extravagant events.

The venue saw a range of famous faces come through the door on the evening of Wednesday 7th November, from reality TV stars to soap stars.

Celebrity guests included Big Brother stars Sam Giffen and Sam Chaloner, Love Island star Katie Salmon and Ex On the Beach star Zara Lena.

Strictly Come Dancing and Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote was also among the V.I.P guests to show their support, wowing the press with her new shorter hairstyle.

Laura-Alicia from MTV’s Ex On The Beach was also out to support her good friend Jsky at the MTV Staying Alive event.

Other guests on the night include a range of bloggers, journalists, local businesses and the general public.

MTV Staying Alive is a foundation set up who continually try to fight HIV and AIDS. They encourage HIV prevention and battle endlessly to end the stigma and discrimination that surrounds HIV and AIDS.

The host of the evening, Jsky, took to the stage to open his very own charity event with a set of his which included his incredible single “Myself”.

The evening saw some more incredibly talented artists perform for us on the stage, including Manchester’s very own Lady Ice, who performed her amazing debut single “Do That For”. Other artists included Mei, and Tmar. The house DJ for the night was Manchesters Georgie K.

Jsky couldn’t leave the line up like that, adding two surprises to the list, which saw Chris Evans who performed at last years event take to the stage with a sneak preview of his new upcoming single. Tyreeeezy also took to the stage performing alongside Kris and also performing some of his own hits.

In between the performances, representatives from the charity talked to us about the importantance of their charity and little bit of information as to what they do.

With last years event raising just over £450, Jsky wanted to top this and he did just that, raising over £750 for the foundation!

Speaking about the event on Twitter, Jsky said: “Completely overwhelmed with the support from last night’s event. The live performances were incredible and the guests were a real credit”.
